Time To Talk Politics

Now that the Queensland state election is over, its time to talk politics. That means why we can talk about all things political without the distraction of an election. In the comments I have made on social media, the following questions were asked.

  • Why as a vegan, and someone who is interested in animal rights, don’t I support the Animal Justice Party?
  • And, why, as a vegan, would I want to support Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party.

Both of these questions are able to be answered briefly. Yet to do so gives a potentially confusing or easily misinterpreted answer. So an explanation and more detail is required. Hence this blog post.

Why You Shouldn’t Vote For The Animal Justice Party

Did you watch the “Vegan Hour” ‘interview’ with two of the Animal Justice Party Queensland ‘candidates’ last night?

If you did, did you notice that they are deceiving you into voting for them on Saturday?

Clip is below if you missed it.

After spending the time watching it, it has reaffirmed in my mind why I won’t be, and I do not believe any other vegan or animal rights advocate should either.

More Animal Justice Party Lies

In less than a week Queenslanders will go to the polls to vote for a new government.

As is always the case with election campaigns, those standing come out with all sorts of rhetoric.

And this one is no different.

Let’s cut right to the chase here. If this post is going to be a TL:DR, then this is what you should take away from it.

Mark Pearson should resign from the AJP and parliament immediately.

For those kept reading, let me ask you this.

If there was a person who has for many years championed ’cause X’. So much so that those who are involved in ‘X’ dread to see this person walking towards them.

This person is held up as one of the few people who is seeking justice for “X”.

Now what would you say if this same person was alleged to have participated in “X”?

Would you condemn that person?

Dear candidates,

This is why I am writing this letter to you.

I feel there are a few questions need answering.
